It is the largest earth dam in India and the second largest of its kind in Asia. Banasura  dam is made up of massive stacks of stones and boulders. Speed boating is available at this Dam area.

Thirunelli Mahavishnu Temple is one of the oldest temples in Wayanad and  is famous for the rituals conducted for the departed souls.

The trek to Brahmagiri hills is one of the most popular treks in Wayanad. It takes more than 3 hours of an intense trek to reach the top of Brahamagiri, which is about at 1608 m high. Trek begins from the Forest department camp shed at Thirunelli and is 10 kms long walking. If you’re lucky and carry a binocular, climb the watchtower and you’d spot a herd of gaurs or elephants grazing on the valleys. Available slots: 07.30 am, 08.00 am, 8.30 am, 09.00 am. Entry will be allowed till 10.00 am. Holidays: Monday and Friday.

Pookode is a natural freshwater lake nestling amid evergreen forests and mountain slopes at an elevation of 770 meters above sea level. You can enjoy boating here.Other activities available are  –Children park, Aquarium, Fish Spa, Magic Mirror, Handicrafts.

The Edakkal caves are two natural caves at Edakkal. Vistors can experience the power of mini Trekking and petroglyphs of Edakkal. They lie 1,200 m above sea level on Ambukutty Mala.

It is the first Tribal heritage village in Kerala, introduce indigenous architecture coupled with tribal customs and traditions.

Soochipara waterfalls, Meenmutty waterfalls, Chooralmala waterfalls, Kanthanpara waterfalls, Kadachikunnu waterfalls are the main waterfalls of Wayanad.

One of the most sensational attractions in Wayanad is the memoizing glass bridges that offer an unmatched perspective on the spectacular natural surroundings. It is a natural metamorphic rock formation resembling a human skull.  This structure is situated 17 km from Kalpetta and can be reached by trekking.

The Bathery Jain Temple, dating back to the 13th century, is said to have been built in the prevalent architectural style of the then reigning Vijayanagar Dynasty.

Chembra Peak Trekking Situated 2100 m above sea level, Chembra is the highest peak in Wayanad district. Trekking is allowed for limited people starting from 7am in the morning. 3km walk to reach top of the mountain will take almost 3 hrs.

Wayanad Heritage Museum, also known as Ambalavayal Heritage Museum is a museum at Ambalavayal, 12 km south of Sulthan Bathery, in Wayanad district. It has one of Kerala’s largest collections of the remnants, dating back to the second century.
